At PetScrub, our mission is to make caring for dogs easier, cleaner and more enjoyable. Through innovative technology, we are reimagining the traditional dog wash with a faster, gentler and less messy experience—giving families more time for the walks, cuddles and joyful moments that matter most.
Our Story
Like many meaningful inventions, PetScrub began with a simple, everyday problem—and a very special dog named Izzy.
Our founder, Kamel Takla, loved having Izzy by his side, but keeping up with her grooming was becoming difficult. Each month, he spent around $65 on professional grooming, only to find loose fur covering his condo again within days. Grooming Izzy more frequently was expensive, but washing her at home was no easier.
Determined to find a better solution, Kamel began cleaning Izzy himself. He quickly discovered that the bath was only the beginning. There was also the drying, the loose fur and the water left behind throughout the bathroom. What was supposed to be a simple act of care became a long and exhausting chore.
At the same time, life was becoming even busier. Kamel was managing a demanding work schedule, and he and his wife were preparing to welcome a baby. He wanted to keep Izzy clean and comfortable, but he also needed a solution that could fit naturally into a growing family’s life.
So, on the tiny outdoor patio of his condo, Kamel began imagining something different: a machine that could clean and deshed Izzy quickly, use very little water, work almost anywhere and contain the usual mess. Most importantly, it had to be an experience Izzy could feel safe and comfortable using.
What followed were more than two years of perseverance, learning and countless modified prototypes. Each version brought Kamel one step closer to the experience he had envisioned—not just for Izzy, but for every dog and every busy person who loves one.
That journey became PetScrub.
Today, PetScrub represents more than innovative cleaning technology. It is a solution created from love, shaped by real family life and built around the belief that caring for our pets should feel joyful, manageable and rewarding.
Because a cleaner dog means a happier home, more comfortable cuddles and more time to enjoy the bond that inspired PetScrub from the very beginning.
